The Sunscreen Bible: My Recommendations
Updated: Nov 10, 2021
Your skin is the body’s largest organ and is easily affected by skin cancer. Did you know that 1 in 5 Americans will develop skin cancer by the age of 70? Skin cancer is a result of excessive exposure to harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. The sun and tanning beds are the biggest culprits of giving off these harmful rays.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know my number one key to success is Wear Your Sunscreen. People tend to think that sun damage is exclusive to sunlight, but that’s not true. Yes, the risk of getting sun damage is greater when the sun is out, but UV rays are still present on cloudy, rainy, snowy, and any-weather days. If you’re sitting in front of a window, you’re at risk for UV damage. If you’re sitting in the window seat of a plane, your risk is even greater given how close you are to the sun.
Needless to say, I’m a firm believer in wearing sunscreen all day, every day. No days off. If you’re unsure of what sunscreen is good for you, don’t worry. That’s why I’m here. Here are some of my favorite sunscreens for all types of skin - they’re all great for sensitive skin AND you can wear them under makeup!
